Description
Join us on a either a half day, 3/4 day, or full day trip off the coast of Tamarindo. Included on your charter are all rods, gear, drinks (bottled water, beer, sodas) plus fruit and snacks. A delicious Costa Rican style lunch will be included on 3/4 and full day trips. Our charter primarily targets offshore game fish including sailfish, marlin, mahi-mahi and yellow-fin tuna. We can fish in-shore for snapper and roosterfish on request. Booking with ease thanks to our new and improved reservations system!
The Rhino Charger features shaded and indoor areas, a bathroom, speakers for music, comfortable seating areas, fighting chair and a fly deck as well as all equipment needed for successful offshore fishing. Your experienced crew have fished these waters for decades and know the best spots for both offshore and inshore fishing.
Notes: Standard prices are for up to 5 people. If booking a 6th person, please click the 6 person supplement. Please note we only charge a deposit of $300 USD to reserve the trip with your remaining balance being due on the date of your excursion, which can be paid cash or card to the captain. If targeting billfish, we highly recommend a 3/4 or full day trip (the more hours on the water the better).
Half day trips are not available between our summer months (December 15 - April 15) as we need to travel further south during this period.

The trip was what every fisherman dreams of… Simply epic! The crew Maikel, Victoria, and Nacho were outstanding. The boat, food (shout out to Victors mom), gear, and skills were amazing. I’ve been fishing all over the world and this has to be on top of the list of best charters out there!
We landed 10 sailfish, 6 got off, a monster wahoo, and tons of bites and fish tailing baits. I would recommend a full day of fishing. We caught a couple first thing in the morning, but most were caught in the last three hours. Same spot, same technique, but the wind picked up a bit and the biting turned on.
This trip is one my wife and I will always remember. Thank you for everything!

Maikel, Viktor and Nacho were fantastic and provided an unforgettable day on the water! Fishing started off slow, but the crew stayed extremely attentive to what was going on and changed baits a few times as well as direction to try to manufacture some bites. We finally got on them late in the day and ended up with a nice sailfish, a 70 pound yellowfin and another small yellowfin along with several misses. Overall a great experience for my family, these guys were on it!

From start to finish the captain and crew were outstanding. They took time on the way out to teach and coach our wives exactly what to do once we got a hook up since it was their first time. This paid off greatly as we landed 2 sailfish, 1 Mahi and no misses. Overall 5+ star experience and we will definitely use Rhino Charger again!

Had a great time on the water with Maikel, Victor, and Nacho. We did a full day trip, and caught 2 sailfish and a dorado in the AM. The afternoon was slower, but at no fault to the crew. Nacho was great to talk to when the fishing was slow. I told him him brought a surf rod down with me and he offered some good tips for rooster fishing from the surf. Overall, we had a great experience.

We had an AMAZING day of fishing with this great crew. We not only got put on the fish we were targeting, sailfish, but we caught a lot more! We had a full day of catching tuna, rainbow runners and even hooked into a mahi as well.

We booked the day before and fortunately they were available. Nice treatment in order to organize everything. We are a couple with two children(8 and 11) and we selected the fullday trip, offshore. The crew and captain were always taking care of us, and mainly of the children. They knew when to stay with you and when to let you some privacy. Although it was a hard day for all the boats, we were very lucky and we captured 2 Dorados and 3 black tunas. We released everything except the first Dorado. They cleaned and prepared it, iced, in order for us to take it for dinner. As we were in a hotel, we carried it to a restaurant (Walter’s) were they cooked it in different ways. It was the perfect closure.

Absolutely amazing day in the water with Micheal, Victor, and Nacho from the Rhino Charger. Once in a life time experience for my 10yo son who caught the “grand slam” of sailfish, yellowfin tuna and Mahi! Crew works so hard to to put us on the fish. I am a repeat customer, and had an amazing trip back in 2018 too where we landed 9 big Pacific sailfish! Highly recommended. Also excellent recommendation from crew to take our catch to Water’s beach bar and restaurant on the beach of Tamarindo. The meal was amazing too!

This guys were great! We had a really fun time with our crew and caught 3 tuna. We asked to keep the whole body so we could strip and filet at home and they were on board all the way! No regrets and a really friendly well ran operation. Saw a lot of Dolphin while out deep as well. Very cool overall!
